Outcome over ego
I once received feedback that made me seriously question whether I was really cut out for my role. I’ve also received feedback that has given me the warm and fuzzies. Both experiences were ultimately good for me, and have helped me be more successful.
Asking for, receiving, and giving feedback is scary. Too often, we hold ourselves back from trying things or voicing ideas because we're afraid we might receive negative feedback. We miss opportunities to add value and learn. If the people around me knew I was truly open to feedback (committed to these feedback principles), and would tell me where I was going wrong (or right), I wouldn't waste as much energy holding myself back or trying to anticipate what the feedback might be - I'd just try more.
The first objective of Open to Feedback is to share content and practical tools that help us become more open to feedback, enabling us to actively seek feedback, make sense of it and action it. What if we bravely approached our lives and our work with the courage of an entrepreneur releasing her first product - recognising that it's probably not perfect but willing to learn from the feedback and improve.

Isn't is strange that, while we no longer spend our whole careers working at one employer, that we don’t own the data from peer and manager feedback and can’t easily take it with us when we move on?
The second objective of Open to Feedback is to create a secure and private platform for gathering real personal feedback (not just public praise), both anonymous and attributed, which you would own and could use:
(1) for your personal development, with guided reflection built into the platform to help you make the most of the feedback; and
(2) to signal what it's like working with you, giving your current or prospective employer / manager / colleague / coach / partner access to the data you choose.
Hiring is broken.
In a world of rapid disruption, speed and adaptability are the only remaining competitive advantages. We should be hiring for learning above all else. This tool will provide a way to document and verify your learning process.
